The design of the site has been changed since the article was written.
I remember the time when I used to choose PC parts in a computer magazine. The choice was not big, but it was enough for me to build my first computer. And to compare mobile phones by features was easier back then.
Now that we have a great variety of electronic devices, it became much more difficult to pick a gadget you want. It's not easy to build a computer with so many parts and details you must know, considering that they become more and more complicated.
Even if it's just one phone, to find the best phone for you, you need to compare mobile phones and not just two or three but many of them.
So, it's good to have device comparison tools like fastchooser.com, versus.com, or notebookcheck.net, which can save time and help you make the right choice. Even if you are not a professional in this field, you still can figure out how to choose the right computer for your needs or find the best phone with the help of the phone specifications database of Fastchooser.

How to Find Devices by Specs Using Filters
The site fastchooser.com is a platform that was designed to compare cell phones, tablets, laptops, desktops, computer parts, and peripherals by specs and features, including brands, models, performance specifications, operating systems, camera megapixels, screen size, and resolution comparison, dimensions, weight, and other characteristics. The intuitive design makes it easy to use.
However, the filters may seem unwonted because they are built on the principle of the targeted choice, unlike the filters of most of the e-commerce sites, including the online shops that we promote, such as amazon.com, for instance. It means that if you choose, for example, brand 1, you can't choose brand 2 simultaneously.

First, you'll see the products of brand 1, then reduce the circle by picking other available specifications. The same is with the other characteristics.
If you want to reset the filters to the default settings outright, just click on any device category above, for example, "laptops".
The search for a certain device suitable for your demands, thus, becomes quicker, more targeted, and less messy. The logic is pretty simple like everything genial. It was not so easy to realize, though.
There are of course similar sites that give you the service of comparison and even of prices. But we wanted to create a comparison tool that is more convenient and without tons of unnecessary information that turns a site into a garbage pile and distracts you from seeing the important. That's why our tool is laser targeted at only the main features of the devices.
The Design for the Easiest Access to the Device Features
As you may notice this modern tool looks like a transformer. You can close the filters, for instance, to make the page look cleaner or open them when you need them.
In this picture, we don't see the filters, only the sign with the word "filters". It means the filters are closed.

After you click on the sign you open the filters. Now pick the most important feature.

The same is with the description of a product.
In this picture, the description is at the bottom in a small window. You can read it scrolling down if it's convenient for you.

Or you can make it bigger by clicking on the same blue square sign on the right, which is used for the filters as well.

That is what makes Fastchooser unique. Such design and convenience make this site stand out from many other sites working on WordPress or similar content management systems. Unlike them, Fastchooser was built using JavaScript and Node JS.
JavaScript is a dynamic language that gives more freedom for a developer's imagination while creating sites. So, if you want to see such interesting sites of the future, make sure that your browser supports JavaScript.
Besides, we didn't want to use any unnecessary libraries, modules or plugins that cause the site to become slow. It should correspond to the name of the site, it should be fast and not just because of the name, but because it's right.
Every good site must be fast and beautiful. As for beauty, tastes differ of course. But we like it.)
We wanted the design of the site to be as simple and user-friendly as possible. At first, it even was intended to be a one-page site. But for the sake of SEO, now we have several pages.
Although the products are located at eye level, it also may seem unusual, but it's supposed to be more convenient because, thus, you don't have to scroll down to the infinity of the page. Instead, you have all the goods right in front of your eyes and can scroll or drag the line sideways.

And when you click on a product, it doesn't open on the other page. You see it in a smaller window on the main page.

If you want to close it, just click on any spot outside the product's page that is on the main page. It works for computers as well as for smartphones.
How to Compare Devices
But what if you want to open several products for comparison? In this case, we have a comparison tool under the filters.
You can use the search bar to find a device by brand or model or just click on the pictures of the hands near the products you like to add them to the tool.
And you'll see them appear in the special section below the filters, where the total price is automatically calculated, as this tool is used not only for comparison but also as a calculator.
It is especially convenient if you, for example, look for PC parts and want to know the total price of your computer. There is, however, a separate calculator if it's necessary for you.

Click on the button "compare" to compare phones or other devices from the same category by specs. You can scroll or drag the line of products in this window sideways as well.

About Brands
There are 5 main categories of electronics and several subcategories in “computer components” on top of the site. In the future, the number of categories may change.
The products are presented by different brands, famous and not very famous. Even if you are not familiar with a certain brand, its electronic device may turn out to suit you better according to its features and price.
As for my own experience, it's not always the brand that makes your device great. What is great is that you can make a perfect choice just looking at the specs of the device. And it's not necessary to read millions of articles, watch all the reviews on YouTube and become an expert capable of making your reviews just to buy a cell phone.
In most cases, devices of high quality are more expensive like these best smartphones in 2021. But there are always some exceptions to the rule too, about which you may know sometimes only through your own experience. Of course, I am not you. People are different. I don't like to waste too much time on research to buy a smartphone.
I don't need the best phone just because it's the best. Why should I throw away my money and be a happy user of the best toy in the world for a few days till I get bored or find out that it's not the best anymore?
For me, it's enough to know that the device I choose has decent main features, such as CPU, internal memory, screen size, and battery so that I can use it at least for three years. And it doesn't matter which brand it is, I can try any. But if you are interested in more details about how to choose a cell phone, you can find them in the article.
I bought a smartphone made by Phillips about 7 years ago. Its battery was around 3000mAh. The battery capacity was enough to use the phone pretty heavily during the whole day without charging it at work. Then I switched to Asus with the same battery capacity. Although Asus is also a great brand, it turned out that its battery was not sufficient.
After I'd used the Asus phone for 3 years, its battery is almost completely dead, while the Phillips phone still works and its battery is in pretty good condition (now it's my mom's phone). In fairness, I exploited my Asus phone too intensely and often during charging.
If you want to know how to extend your device's battery lifespan, the information is on the main page of the site.
It's a pity that Phillips doesn't make smartphones anymore. The phone is decent, however, its interface is not very user-friendly.
So now I believe that a brand is not everything. You can find a perfect device for you, even if its brand is unknown. I remember how I bought my tablet manufactured by DEXP. I didn't know about this brand anything, but I enjoyed its 2K display. The most important thing is that it was sufficient for my needs.
Anyway, they all are made in China.
The Privacy Policy
We created this magnificent tool so that everyone can enjoy its simplicity without being annoyed.
That is why Fastchooser doesn't use your cookies and there is no registration here either. And you will not receive any e-mail letters from us. We think it's not necessary to violate your privacy in any way on such kinds of sites that are supposed to serve you as tools.
The information about your collection of devices in the comparison tool, the currency you choose, or the theme you prefer (in the upper right corner you can switch to the dark or light theme) is kept not in cookies but the local storage of your browser. That is why we don't even have the privacy policy page.
Maybe it's not a brilliant idea for the promotion of our site. But it seems to be right because I don't like to be disturbed by any sites on the internet. Treat others like you want to be treated. Right?
The Stories Feed with Guest Posting about Devices
In the upper left corner, there is our stories feed with the latest articles about smartphones or other devices, or just some interesting stories and useful information like this article.
We also have guest posting. So you are welcome to leave your own stories that can help or entertain other people. The rules you'll find under the editor where you write your post. Don't forget to put your name or nickname so that the story can be published after moderation of course.
As you probably understand, your story should coincide with the theme of our site, i.e. mobile phones, tablets, notebooks, or computers. It should not necessarily be a review, of course. You can write about your experience or your friend's experience, for example.
Or if you are a good writer, you can make up even a sci-fi story provided that it complies with the theme.
If you are inspired by any existing post, you can comment on it. But the structure of our posting system is so that every “comment” is considered to be a full new story, but with a mark “inspired by...” So, the publishing rules apply to “comments” as well.
This idea came from another project, the social media site letterevo.com.
At first, we were naive enough to not want anything redundant like articles on the site. But it turned out that no one can find the site without them unless we constantly pay for its advertising, which is also not so easy to do, especially if you deal with such monopolies as Google.
But now we think that having something like a story feed is pretty interesting and useful. We start enjoying it and, hopefully, you'll enjoy it too. So, you are welcome to master your writing here.
As you see, the site is very simple. I hope it will show you how to choose a smartphone or a laptop fast and with pleasure. But if you have any suggestions on how to improve and make it even more comfortable, you can always contact us.
We already have great ideas about how to make this comparison tool more effective. It means that the project is evolving and it is great. But no evolution is possible without interaction as you know. So, we need your feedback.
This site is built for people first of all and not for google robots. We take care of the customers' comfort and want this platform to stand out from the plethora of mediocre sites that all look alike, even though it means to run counter to Google's algorithms.
You can also watch the video instruction on how to use our device comparison tool. If you like Fastchooser, let's make this project awesome together!
